I was kind of hoping I wouldn’t have to write this post, but with the increasing restrictions being put in place and with more likely to follow it has become unavoidable.
Firstly, I had an amazing competition lined up that has now been put on hold, you will all just have to remain patient until the restrictions are eased and I promise I won’t disappoint!
Secondly, I am making some changes to my scheduling and procedures to ensure the safety of myself and all clients going forward.
I am seeing limited numbers of horses in a day, and will attend only a certain amount of different locations on a given day. I am doing this to reduce travel and minimize potential exposure for all those involved. I’ve always practiced pretty strict hygiene between clients but this will now be a meticulous routine between each and every horse/property/owner I attend, and strict social distancing measures will be in effect. I am more than happy to maintain control of your horse throughout the session or work on them tied if appropriate. Should your horse not be able to manage this please call and let me know well in advance so we can possibly work something out.
I am limiting numbers of new clients at this time to ensure I am able to continue to service existing clients and ensure that my regulars are maintaining their current schedules where possible.I will not be using red light pads during most appointments. These are very difficult to sanitize appropriately without causing damage to the pad. I will instead be utilizing my torches more often as these are readily disinfected as required, it is however more difficult and time consuming when working on large areas so please keep this in mind. All this means I may not be able to see your horse as soon as you might like and may need to adapt their session, so please book well in advance if you don’t want to miss out.
All other services will continue as previously, i am still taping when required, and Rehabilitation programs, management plans and nutritional consults are all available over the phone (appointments are still required).
I ask you all for your ongoing patience and understanding in this strange time, and hope to catch up with you all in the future!
As always, Happy Horsing!
